About the event

Last week, the Supreme Court signaled it might allow public funding for a Catholic charter school in Oklahoma, creating America's first public religious charter school. While supporters argue this move promote greater freedom and choice for religious students, critics warn it dangerously blurs the line between Church and State.

This case joins a growing wave of religion-in-education controversies—from Louisiana's mandate to display the Ten Commandments in classrooms to Oklahoma’s requirement for Bibles in public schools.
