About the event

On September 10, conservative activist and commentator Charlie Kirk was shot and killed while speaking at a campus event. In the aftermath, a fierce debate has unraveled about the boundaries of expression: what constitutes protected speech, when public or private actors may punish it, and how societies should respond when speech becomes tangled with violence.
